Concrete patio extension and new garage at Waverton

Our team was called in part way through this home renovation at Waverton, on Sydney’s North Shore, when the original concrete company was unable to successfully complete the job.

The project involved building a new, single garage with a suspended concrete slab roof which joined up with the existing patio. This extended the patio considerably to over the garage. Atop the garage we built waterproofed planter boxes we also built planter boxes.

This was a relatively simple project and we had it completed within 2 days. The homeowner and builder were very happy after having been let down by the previous concrete company.

Under house excavation and the addition of a garage, new living area, laundry and alfresco patio.

This project, in Roseville on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, involved the excavation of a disused under house area to include a new garage, extend the internal living plus add a new alfresco patio.

The first stage of the project was to demolish and excavate the under-building basement area. The photo below shows the bobcat undertaking the excavation work.

Once excavation was complete, we laid a new concrete floor slab with extensive waterproofing to prevent dampness and any water penetration. The lower level became a new garage with a wine cellar at the rear.

Above this, we built a suspended concrete slab and enclosed room which extended the kitchen, added a new laundry and ensuite bathroom to the rear. The front comprised a new alfresco patio area.

This project is an example of how a disused area of an old home and utilised for indoor / outdoor living, parking and storage.
