With a large crew and all the equipment required to complete all residential and commercial concreting jobs quickly and efficiently, the local team at N & S Formwork and Concreting Northern Beaches have the expertise to undertake all concreting projects – large and bespoke – on time and budget. Below are just a few examples of recent projects completed by our Northern Beaches concreting team.

Large house extension in Seaforth.

Concrete slab foundation for a large house extension in Seaforth.

This project at Seaforth involved extensive concrete work to accommodate a large addition to the existing house. The slab-on-ground construction above is the foundation for the ground floor addition that will comprise a double garage in the foreground with an open plan kitchen and informal living area at the rear.  This adjoins the existing house.  The concrete slab in the centre left of the photo will be a generous alfresco outdoor patio with pizza oven. The facade of the double garage will feature decorative, curved concrete arches and upstand concrete walls which give the slab strength.

Concrete pool in Balgowlah

For this new concrete pool at Balgowlah, first our team excavated the site. Then our steel fixers and formworkers added the reinforcement and formwork to create the desired shape and depth.  The concrete was then poured and finished off. You’ll notice the wide concrete pool surrounds which will be tiled.   There was also a large step / platform which hadn’t yet been formed up when this photo was taken.

Concrete driveway in Forestville

The original concrete driveway at this Forestville home was old and much slimmer than the new driveway in the photo above.  Our team removed the old driveway and excavated the surrounds to widen the driveway. We connected the driveway to the front stairs and created a new pathway that carried through all the way to the backyard which can be seen on the right side of the photo.  We also added the driveway crossover that connects the drive to the street across Council land.   The new concrete driveway was finished in a cove finish which is not only decorative but provides a non-slip grip for pedestrian safety.

Concrete basement foundation.

Basement concrete foundation slab for a new house in Mona Vale

The basement foundation slab in the photo above is just the start of this large, three storey new home being built in Mona Vale.

This 400sqm concrete slab will provide extensive underground garage parking for up to 4 cars.  To the left of the photo (where you can see the green pipe) is where the driveway will enter the garage from the street.

After the slab was poured, we installed the Dincel walls.  Dincel is a modular wall system, which can be installed very quickly and can reduce building time by up to one-third.  Dincel is a waterproof system polymer that, once installed, stays in place.

New driveway in Terrey Hills

At this Terrey Hills home, we removed the old concrete driveway and replaced it with a new, black oxide concrete driveway.

During the excavation process, we were able to widen the driveway and add a new path leading to the front door.

Concrete slab and Dinsel walls for a new home in Collaroy

The photo above is the foundation concrete slab for the basement level of a new home built in Collaroy.

You can see the Dinsel walls around the slab.  Dincel is a modular wall system that can be installed very quickly and can reduce building time by up to one-third.  Dincel is a waterproof system polymer that, once installed, stays in place.  It is strong enough for use in high-rise buildings whilst is a practical product for use in residential construction too.

Our team installed the Dinsel walls above in three days.  Had concrete blocks been used, the same process would have taken 3 weeks!

All up, the concrete slab and erection of the Dinsel walls took our team 10 days to complete.  This area will comprise a gym, wine cellar and home offices.

Above this, we formed up and poured the first floor slab which comprised the main living areas and entry to the home.

Excavation for garage.

Excavation for new living room and garage in Manly

This Manly project involved extensive excavation of the sandstone foundations to make way for a new garage.

The concrete slab will form the floor of the garage. We installed Dinsel walls to a height of 7 metres which will accommodate two internal floors, the top being a new living room. As mentioned above, modular Dincel walls can be installed very quickly, reducing building time by up to one-third.  Dincel is a waterproof system polymer that, once installed, stays in place.  It is strong enough for use in high-rise buildings whilst is a practical product for use in residential construction too.
