A high-end residential concreting project on the Upper North Shore.
On this high-end, architecturally designed renovation at Pymble we worked with builders, Jetcharm. The original home was extended and redesigned to feature the popular Mediterranean style with extensive use of arches and enclosed outdoor spaces. When complete, the exterior will be rendered white making it reminiscent of a sun-soaked, seaside retreat.
This was a highly technical project for our formworkers and concreting team, requiring precision and expertise. When creating arches from concrete, every detail must be precisely measured – there is no room for error. Concrete arches require critical engineering expertise because even the slightest mistake will be evident to the naked eye. The radius of each arch must be exact the first time. Mistakes are very difficult to rectify. You don’t get second chances with concrete!
The image below is the architecturally designed garage, complete with a vast archway through which the cars will enter. On either side are smaller arches offering pedestrian access. These also soften the vastness of this very large garage. Behind the garage you can see the start of the new timber framework for the extensions.

The highly detailed arch below was created as a stylish stand-alone feature at the end of the vast alfresco patio area and will frame the pool and cabana (yet to be renovated) beyond.
